BCG Graduate Internship Program
BCG is committed to providing a quality internship placement for our successful candidates for the BCG Graduate Internship Program.
We work collaboratively with Universities to ensure students meet their graduate program requirements.
Who are successful candidates in the BCG program?
- Students who are enrolled in a Graduate Program in Psychology, Social Work, or Counselling Psychology.
- Interns will gain over 400 hours of internship placement with BCG over a period of 8 months with 2.5 – 3 shifts weekly (this can be decreased during your practicum)
- Interns will receive weekly 1:1 clinical supervision or monthly group supervision
- Interns will participate in bi-monthly case consultations with their student cohort
Who would I work with at BCG?
Our clients are seeking help with a variety of matters including depression, anxiety, grief, life-transition, identity, trauma and relational challenges.
Where do I see clients?
We work with a hybrid model and believe in office counselling is an essential element to a clinical internship placement.

Successful applicant requirements for the program include:
Client care shifts 3 - 5 hours weekly online (during your shift).
Confidentiality Agreement/Non Disclosure Agreement (After you receive the offer)
RCMP Criminal Record Check (After you receive the offer)
Case study completion
BCG Protocol Compliance Agreement (After you receive the offer)
Completion of the CBT & Trauma Neurophysiology preferably prior to the start of internship (After you receive the offer)
Successful completion of the BCG online counselling assessment protocol (After you receive the offer)
